App Instructions
** Check your iPhone’s “Ring/Silent” button, setting it to “Silent” will mute this app. **
Use the buttons at the top of the screen to navigate through the app.

Tap the “Settings” button to change app settings. Here you can choose which keys to use in the app, and whether or not to arpeggiate chords and intervals.

Select the “Learn” button to enter the learning section. The learning section has different screens for major scale modes, melodic and harmonic minor modes, triads, triad inversions, intervals and seventh chords. Navigate between these screens using the “Next” and “Prev” buttons, or by swiping left or right.

Select the “Practice” button to begin practicing your recognition of the chords and scales from the learning section. You can select which categories you would like to practice, and how many multiple choice buttons to use.

You will be given a chord or scale with its notation, and asked to match the sound you hear to the correct button at the bottom of the screen. Once you select a button, the correct answer will be displayed. This process will repeat so you can practice as long as you like. Just press the “stop” button when you’re done. Press the “replay” button if you would like to hear the audio repeated.

When you press the stop button you will see how well you did, and which categories you might want to focus on.

Select the “Test” button to test yourself without the sheet music. You can select which categories to test on, how many questions make up the test, and how many multiple choice buttons to use.

Testing is similar to practicing except that you will only have the sound without notation. Tap the “replay” button to hear the sound repeated. The correct answer will be displayed after you select a button.

Your test results will be displayed at the end of the test.
